We’re thrilled to introduce AltDat, an API designed to streamline your data transformation workflows. Whether you’re converting files between formats, cleaning up tables, or running quick analyses, AltDat gives you the tools to get the job done with a single HTTP call.

Why We Built AltDat

In today’s data-driven world, developers and automation builders constantly face the challenge of working with different file formats and data structures. We noticed that teams were spending countless hours building custom solutions for:

  • Converting between table formats (CSV, Excel, JSON, Parquet)
  • Filtering, sorting, and aggregating tabular data
  • Getting quick statistics out of a file without opening a notebook
  • Doing any of this from low-code tools like Power Automate

AltDat solves these problems with a unified API that handles all of these use cases.

Key Features

Format Conversion

Convert between CSV, TSV, Excel, JSON, HTML, Parquet, Feather, and ORC with one request. Upload a file, name your target format, and get the converted file straight back.

Table Operations

Apply pipelines of operations — filter, sort, select, rename, deduplicate, aggregate — in a single call. Built on Polars and DuckDB, AltDat processes even large tables quickly.

SQL Queries

On paid plans, run full SQL against any uploaded file. Your table is exposed as data — write the query, get JSON rows back.

Built for Low-Code

AltDat accepts file uploads, JSON with base64 content (the shape Power Automate sends natively), and raw request bodies — so it drops into automation flows without glue code.
